Located in the newest St. Pete Recreation Center in the Shore Acres/Snell Isle Neighborhood. The floor-to-ceiling windows in the upstairs Discovery Room provide students with a great view of the sky and the playground below. If the weather is right, you can find the class practicing poses outside in the grass.
We practice understanding the connection between mind and body through breath, movement, and meditation. There are fun games, art projects, music, dancing, and so much more! This class is best suited for 5-9-year-olds. Parents are welcome to sit in for the first class and observe but this is a drop-off kids class. There is free pickleball held in the gymnasium, if interested.

What to Expect During the 6-Weeks
Meditation practice to strengthen mental resolve
Having a frequent meditation practice helps improve focus and self-awareness. it’s never too early to introduce a calm and reflective skill into a child’s life.
Mindful arts and crafts projects
Creativity is the key to self-understanding and expression. Giving students opportunities to draw, write, collage, paint, and color can help them release big emotions.
Yoga activities and games
We make learning yoga fun and engaging! Using games and music to introduce different yoga poses encourages students to remember the new poses for the activity.
Personalized class themes and lessons
Students play a significant role in determining which activities and topics are covered during yoga. Certain themes are chosen based on interest, and yoga philosophy is incorporated to match.
6-Week Camp
$75
Once a week for 6 weeks
For this incredible price, your child receives the opportunity to dive deeper into yoga and meditation. With each week building off the last, they explore different topics and themes. These themes include nature’s basic elements, chakras, breath exercises, emotions, and so much more!
To register for this class, parents will need to sign up via the city of St. Pete Parks & Rec website.

There are no single session offered at this location. For this offering, please see the single classes page for Treehouse Kids Club. This Yoga Explorers class is offered in 6-week sessions. For $75 you can sign your child up for 6 weeks of yoga, one night a week (Wednesday).

Shoes come off and they roll out their mats. What’s that smell? It’s stinky feet! Time for stinky feet spray (aromatherapy). Now pass the orange with your feet for a game of gratitude. (orange you grateful?) Kidding Around Yoga has been a big influence on our classes. There is, also, always a focus on meditation. We begin and end our classes with turning inward for true self-exploration. With fun, in many different forms, sprinkled in.

Yes, teachers are CPR certified

Make sure to wear comfortable clothing and bring a water bottle. A yoga mat if they have one but extras are always available in the studio.
Students are offered the option to bring 1 stuffed animal to class, if desired :)

This class is best for children ages 5-9. When there is a mixed group of ages/abilities, the teacher offers modifications and/or challenges for the students to take. Warning to the older cool kids, classes usually include large amounts of playfulness and silliness.

Yes! Learning meditation leads to discussions about accepting emotions that come up during stillness. Noticing them is the first step, naming them is second and then one can begin to work on accepting.
There is also opportunities to connect with other classmates with partner poses, group poses, games and group projects.

No snacks are permitted in the studio. If allergy to essential oil, teacher will seek out approved oils or refrain from using any at all.

Yes, parents are welcome to observe the student’s first class. We ask that they try not to distract the students during class.
